Capitol Skeds Special Recruitment Activity for Angola On April 24

PhilAfrica Technical Resources, Inc., a licensed recruitment agency for overseas Filipino workers, is scheduled to accept job applications from qualified Capampangan laborers, engineers, accountants and other construction workers during the one-day special recruitment activity of the Pampanga provincial government on April 24.

This was announced by Luningning Vergara, head of the Provincial Public Employment Services Office (PESO) as she said that close to 400 job vacancies in the Republic of Angola await qualified applicants from various municipalities of the province.

Vergara said that the recruitment agency’s general manager and recruitment officers will personally conduct the pre-screening and interview of applicants at the provincial capitol.

“Successful applicants will be employed by eight companies based in the Republic of Angola with salaries ranging from $800 to $2,200 US dollars.”

A processing fee of P5,000  will be required each successful applicant as well  as his one-month salary as placement fee, deductible from his salary.

Conrad Borra, PESO administrative assistant, said the recruitment activity will start at eight o’clock in the morning until five o’clock in the afternoon.

The job vacancies include civil, geodetic and electrical engineers, linemen, industrial electricians, aircon technicians, plumbers, masons, auto and electronic technicians, diesel engine fitters and mechanics, power station supervisors, carpenters, cold storage supervisors, CAD and crane operators, riggers, metal works erectors, camp managers, quantity surveyors, toolkeepers and marine technicians.

Accountants, computer data encoders, purchasing agents, drivers and mechanics of heavy equipment, health and safety environment officers, cooks, tinsmiths, welders, stock controllers, pipe fitters, telecom and information technology support technicians are also needed.

He advised the applicants to bring their resume, certificates of employment, passports, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and police clearances and other pertinent documents.

Borra said that the office has made the necessary coordination with the Philippine Overseas Employment Association (POEA) which cleared the recruitment agency as a duly licensed entity.

The holding of special recruitment activities is one of the strategies utilized by PESO in line with the desire of Governor Lilia G. Pineda of providing ample local and overseas job opportunities to qualified individuals in the province, Vergara ended.   (Erlinda T. Yutuc, Pampanga PIO)
