Capitol provides P2.1-M loans to 172 coop members

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO— The Provincial Cooperative Entrepreneurial Development Office (PCEDO) distributed some P2-1 million during the first quarter of the year for the livelihood projects of 172 members of various multi-purpose cooperatives under the Negosyo King Panyulung Program (NPP) of the provincial government.
Yesterday, after the Capitol Flag Rites, Governor Lilia Pineda awarded an amount of P700,000 to the additional 70 NPP beneficiaries from the municipalities of Arayat, Magalang and San Luis who received P10,000 each.
Ponce Capulong, officer in charge of PCEDO said these loans are payable within 6 months with zero interest and no collateral needed.
Capulong added that the governor wants to help improve the quality of living of the Kapampangans through the NPP program.
“We are committed to uphold the mandate of the governor of providing quality way of life to the Kapampangans particularly the marginalized through the distribution of starting loan capital to those who want to venture into small scale business in order to augment the income of their families,”Capulong said.
Governor Pineda said she wants to see the Kapampangan families to enjoy the fruit of the economic prosperity being pursued by her administration also through the assistance of various stakeholders, government line agencies and with the support of the private sector.
