Capitol medical mission benefits 205 patients

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Some 205 patients benefited from the medical mission initiated by Gov. Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda and Vice Gov. Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda at the Training Center of Sta. Rita town.

The Provincial Health Office headed by Dr. Antonio ‘Jay’ Rivera led the medical mission in cooperation with the Governor’s Medical Services Unit and the chiefs of hospital of the 11 district and provincial hospitals.

According to Executive Assistant IV Myrna “Bot” Manio, head of the Governor’s Medical Services Unit, a total of 17 surgeons from Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital, district and provincial hospitals, and 25 members of ‘Nars sa Nayon’ served as volunteers during the activity.

Manio said the patients suffering from benign cysts, lipomas, warts and masses underwent surgical procedures during the medical mission.

She added that the main purpose of the activity is to develop a bridge of medical assistance to severely medically unattended cabalens who are in need of government care.
