LUBAO – The provincial government of Pampanga recently launched the German-made Integrated Taxation Management System (iTax) in the towns of Lubao and Floridablanca.
Gov. Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda who led the launching said the iTax aims to boost the collection of real property tax (RPT) and other revenues in the province.
It also aims to solve the problems in RPT computations and will fully digitize the tax collection of the two towns.
Both Lubao Mayor Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab and Floridablanca Mayor Eduardo Guerrero expressed gratitude to the provincial government for the launching of the new system that will benefit their respective constituents.
Provincial Assessor Romeo Dizon said the new system will transform the province’s tax collection to an efficient and transparent system.
Ryan Conception, information technology consultant of the province, discussed how the system works to the employees of the two municipalities.
He added that the iTax includes digital maps and other information on the tax collectibles of the municipalities.
