Capitol joins Family Week Celebration

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The provincial government headed by Governor Lilia G. Pineda joined the nation in the National Family Week celebration during its flag raising ceremony Monday.

The theme of this year’s celebration, “Ensuring Work and Family Balance” is intended to raise the citizens’ awareness on the prevailing family issues throughout the country and how to address such.

As this developed, 3rd District Board Member Trina Dizon, chairperson of the Committee on Family said, they have to work hard so that they can support well their respective families.

However, Dizon stressed, making one’s family a priority and time well spent with each family member is as important.

Provincial Administrator Atty. Andres Pangilinan Jr. announced the work suspension for Capitol employees, duly noted and approved by the governor herself to fully support the celebration.

“Employees need only to work until three in the afternoon for this day, instead of the usual 8:00-5:00 office hours, to be able to go home early. We want them to spend time and enjoy a meal with their family members,” Pineda said.

Meanwhile, the Capitol will also host a film viewing which fosters various family values facilitated by the Provincial Library.
