CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Revenues from the quarry industry of Pampanga has reached P2-billion for the past 75 months in office of Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda.
Based on the initial report of the Environmental and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) as of Sept. 16, the quarry revenues came from the aggregated sum of P1,875,585,000 in quarry shares; weighing scale fees-P114,067,000; accreditation of motor vehicles-P32,558,555; and quarry sand and gravel fees-P5,228,015.79.
The province has generated a sum of P108,058,000 from weighing scale fees from the province alone which only started from the amount of P13,081,500 back in July of 2012.
The PG-ENRO also collected a total of P6, 009,000 in fees from truckers from other provinces.
A total of P2,027,438,570.97 has been collected even before the third quarter of this year ends.
ENRO chief Art Punsalan said the provincial government will continue to pursue transparent and effective collection as the funds collected are being used for its programs on health, education, and infrastructure among others.
