CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Gov. Lilia Pineda granted some P7-million to the municipality of Arayat for the rehabilitation and improvement of its municipal hall and construction a new police station.
This came as Arayat Mayor Emmanuel “Bon” Alejandrino, in his courtesy call to the governor discussed the sad condition of the municipal hall and its compound, the supposed center of governance in the town.
Alejandrino lamented that during rainy season the municipal compound is flooded while the municipal building is dilapidated.
He added the municipal building is currently under construction but the budget is not enough to complete the construction that is why he is asking for the assistance of the provincial government.
Gov. Pineda approved P5-million for the completion of the municipal hall and upgrading of the compound and its landscaping.
“Annually, we provide budgetary allocation for infrastructure projects in each municipality for their pet projects. It is good that you also pay attention to the improvement of your municipal hall. Knowing that this is the center of the town, it should reflect the kind of service you render to the people,” Pineda told the mayor.
Aside from this, the governor vowed another P2-million for the construction of a new police station and the Capitol will also give the town’s PNP a new patrol vehicle.
The mayor lauded the full support given by Gov. Pineda. He said, “We really need a police station and patrol vehicle for the implementation of our peace and order plan. We are grateful for the assistance of the provincial government,” Alejandrino added.
