Capitol gives P26-M to new batch of scholars

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—The Provincial Government of Pampanga continues to strengthen the foundation for Kapampangan youth by allotting more than P26-M for qualified scholars this coming school year.

According to the Provincial Administrator’s office, a total of P26, 479,055 was released by the Provincial Government to be given for the scholarship program.

Some 3,591 poor and intelligent Kapampangan highschool graduates were given educational financial assistance to augment on their tuition fees and expenses for this year.

The program beneficiaries are honor students mainly valedictorians, salutatorians, 1st, 2nd and 3rd honorable mentions and Alternative Learning System (ALS) passers.

Valedictorians will receive full scholarship for two years given they maintain atleast 85% passing grade.

Following the same premise, salutatorians and 1st honorable mentions will both receive P10,000; P5,000 for the 2nd honorable mentions and P2,500 for the 3rd honorable mentions and ALS passers given they maintain 80% their grades.

Program scholars may lose their education cash benefit should they obtain failing grades; drop any subject and disciplined by school authorities for violating school rules and regulations and for unruly behavior.
