Capitol extends aid to 1,195 ALS graduates

City of San Fernando, Pampanga – The provincial government of Pampanga, under the leadership of Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, recently disbursed financial assistance to 1,195 graduates of the Alternative Learning System (ALS) in the province.

Representing Governor Delta, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee Chair on Education and 2nd District Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, along with Provincial Board Members Benjamin Jocson, Cherry Manalo, and Nelson Calara, spearheaded the distribution of assistance across various municipalities.

The initial beneficiaries included ALS graduates from the City of Mabalacat (491), Magalang (573), and Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) in Pampanga Provincial Jail (132).

Expressing gratitude to the Department of Education (DepEd), Board Member Cayabyab underscored the significance of providing education for out-of-school youth and adult learners in the province.

“I am delighted that, at their age, they still aspire to learn and complete their education. For them, it’s for self-fulfillment and the desire to secure employment. Nowadays, when you’re job hunting, a diploma is often a requirement,” she shared.

Cayabyab also highlighted the administration’s commitment to ensuring easy access to quality education for Kapampangans.

“We assist various students, including those in senior high and college. These are priorities of Gov Delta and Vice Gov Nanay’s administration, and as board members, we fully support their programs,” she added.

Each graduate received financial assistance amounting to P2,000.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Governor Delta for instilling hope in Kapampangans through his impactful programs.

“Kami po ay nagpapasalamat kina Gov Delta sa hindi paglimot sa amin at sa pagbibigay pag-asa na makapagbagong buhay, malaking tulong po ito sa pamilya ko,” expressed “Mary,” one of the beneficiaries from Pampanga Provincial Jail.

Another wave of assistance is set to be given to 5,031 ALS graduates from the diferent municipalities to consistently assist them in their educational journey.
