Capitol, DSWD extend Cash, Food, and Medical check-up to 1,500 Kapampangans with hearing impairments

City of San Fernando, Pampanga – A total of 1,530 Kapampangans with hearing impairments receive financial assistance from the Provincial Capitol and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Wednesday, April 24.

Leading the distribution were Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, and DSWD Undersecretary Emmeline Aglipay-Villar in ceremonies held at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center.

According to Governor Pineda the initiative reflects the commitment of the government to provide support and care to all members of the community, ensuring that every Kapampangan, regardless of their circumstances, is embraced with compassion and assistance.

He also thanked President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian for the assistance extended to the Kapampangans.

“Sana pu kauli yu masaya kayu pu. Kaswelu tamu pung Kapampangan atana pung karakal akakwang saup,” he said.

For her part, Usec Villar also expressed the role of the agency in assisting people who are in need.

Each beneficiary received Php 5,000 in financial aid, with Php 3,000 from DSWD and Php 2,000 from the Provincial Capitol, along with food packs and medical check-ups.

Beyond this assistance, the provincial government consistently supports over 48,000 registered persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the province providing them much needed medical and livelihood assistance.

Also present during the distribution were DSWD Region 3 Director Venus Rebuldela, Board Members Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, Fritzie David-Dizon, Lucky Labung, PCL President Cherry Manalo, ABC President Atty. Claire Lim, SK President JC Cruz, Special Assistant to the Governor and PDRRM Chief Angelina Blanco, Acting PSWDO Fe Manarang, and Persons with Disabilities Affairs Officer Ann Zamora.
