Capitol distributes another batch of brand new barangay vehicles

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—The provincial government led by Governor Lilia Nanay Pineda and Vice-governor Dennis Pineda turned-over fifty nine brand new barangay patrol cars to village chiefs over the week, as part of the 500 vehicles to accommodate the needs of every barangay.

The said vehicles can be used for general public service such as social and humanitarian (makeshift ambulance, rescue, peace and order etc.) it was learned.

The governor appealed to the barangay officials to maintain proper use of the vehicles to evade unwanted incidents.

Board members Dinan Labung, Nestor Tolentino, Arthur Salalila, Ricardo Yabut, ABC President ex-officio Atty. Gerome Tubig and Mayor Edwin Pamintuan on their part, expressed gratitude on behalf of their constituents to the governor for her unyielding support in providing the best service for the province.

Barangay officials also expressed their extreme appreciation to the governor for the fulfillment of their dream.

“Maraming maraming salamat po Governor Lilia Nanay Pineda. Napakalaking tulong po nitong sasakyan sa aming barangay para sa lubusang pagseserbisyo sa aming mga nasasakupan”, Angel Wijangco, ABC president of San Fernando chapter said in an interview.

Meantime, it has been disclosed that the provincial government and the Commission on Audit (COA) have agreed that a Deed of Donation be signed instead of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that was signed by the barangay chairmen previously.

This will transmit full responsibility to each barangay, the vehicle’s maintenance, gasoline expenses, insurance among others.

As of this month, some 459 brand new service patrol cars were already been meted out by the provincial government.
