CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — The Provincial Government of Pampanga and Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) inked a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for a partnership on the provision of various trainings to Kapampangans on July 6.
According to Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, the MOA will act as a link in bridging the skills gaps that exist between job seekers and employers.
“With the guidance of DHVSU, alam kong magiging maganda ang outcome ng programa natin. Importante po na ma-train nang maigi ang ating workers, kaya we will make sure na talagang highly competent sila pagkagraduate po nila sa programa natin,” said the governor.
As stated on the MOA, the Provincial Manpower Training Center (PMTC), a technical vocational training school supervised by the provincial government, has the local mandate to implement technical vocational education and training. Beneficiaries, after finishing their choice of training qualification, will be endorsed to the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) for job acquisition and labor matching.
DHVSU, on the other hand, has offered their assistance in the provision of trainings through the use of personnel and facilities in order to produce more qualified applicants and workers locally and abroad.
For his part, DHVSU Pres. Enrique Baking said that the partnership between the provincial government and their institution will allow both parties to move forward with their programs, projects, and activities aimed at helping and alleviating the lives of their constituents.
“Our common goal is to ensure that the knowledge and skills needed by our fellow Pampangueños to live a productive and fulfilling life are realized,” he said.
The signing ceremony was also attended by Board Members Pol Balingit, Benny Jocson, Nelson Calara, and Atty. Jun Canlas, Provincial Administrator Atty. Charlie Chua, and some officials from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). —Jasmine Jaso/Pampanga PIO
