Capitol delivers assistance to 2nd district folks

LUBAO, Pampanga – Governor Lilia “Nanay” G. Pineda led the comprehensive delivery of basic social services benefitting thousands of local folks in the second district held at Lubao Gymnasium Wednesday.
Pineda distributed livelihood loans worth P590,000 benefitting 118 micro entrepreneurs from Sasmuan town.
The financial assistance is part of the Negosyo King Panyulung Program (NPP), one of the governor’s pet projects aiming to provide wider opportunities for business-minded Kapampangans. Said project is implemented by the Provincial Cooperative and Entrepreneurial Development Office led by Mamerto Gatus.

The provincial government also granted Emergency Shelter Assistance to 14 families from this town and Guagua amounting to P140,000. Eight of the beneficiaries are residents of San Nicolas I, Lubao and six from San Juan Bautista, Guagua.

The informal settlers need to vacate their houses immediately as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is set to start their drainage improvement project in said areas.

The governor distributed PhilHealth membership cards to 999 indigent folks from Floridablanca, Guagua, Lubao, Porac, Sasmuan, and Sta. Rita. The governor said she wants to alleviate the living conditions of calamity victims by providing access to health services in times of need.

“Pasalamat ke pung maragul kang Gov. Ikit mi pu ing tutu nang malasakit kekaming pakakalulu,” (We have witnessed the governor’s genuine concern for people in need like ourselves. For this, we are truly grateful), said the beneficiaries.
