Capitol cites Apalit as 2016 highest in RPT collection

City of San Fernando – The municipal government of Apalit was recognized yesterday as local government unit (LGU) with the highest collection in Real Property Tax (RPT) in the whole province during the kick-off ceremonies of the 445thAldo Ning Kapampangan yesterday at the Capitol compound.

Apalit garnered 97.30 percent highest efficiency rating as of September 2016, aside from remitting the collection ahead of the deadline.
Landed second is Magalang with 83.48 percent and Sto. Tomas came 3rd in RPT collection with 82.52 percent.
Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda since its first term urged the LGUs to intensify the RPT collection in all the municipalities and cities of the province.
Engr. Romeo Dizon, provincial assessor said they based the highest collection efficiency rating on the RPT Collection as of September 2016; within 10 days the RPT collections from the municipalities should be hand-over to the provincial capitol.
