CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – The Pampanga provincial government partnered with Bloomberry Cultural Foundation, Inc. to offer additional housing to victims of the 6.1 magnitude quake in Porac town on April 19, 2019.
Bloomberry Cultural Foundation Inc. Executive Director Filipina Laurena and Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda led the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) in ceremonies held at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall on Tuesday, August 8.
Under the agreement, the foundation will sponsor the construction of housing units worth P90,750,000 on land donated by the provincial government in Barangay Babo Pangulo, Porac.
The project will construct 2-story duplex houses, each comprising a kitchen, bedroom, living room, and bathroom.
Governor Pineda expressed gratitude to the foundation for helping the provincial government in its recovery efforts in assisting the displaced Aeta communities.
The Sanngunian Panlalawigan led by Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda also presented a resolution appreciating the grant given by Bloomberry Resorts Corporation Chairman and CEO Enrique Razon Jr. for the construction of the OFW Hospital in Sindalan and soon to rise Aeta Housing Project in Porac.
To date, a total of 77 housing units have been allocated to affected families in Brgy. Diaz. Among these, 37 were constructed by the provincial government, while the National Housing Authority (NHA) funded the remaining 40 units.
