813 HIRED ON THE SPOT IN JOB FAIR

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA — Some 813 applicants were hired on the spot during a two day job fair recently held at Arnedo Park, Provincial Capitol grounds while some applicants are still completing the required documents for the employment.
According to Luningning Vergara, Public Employment Services Office (PESO) manager, their only target is 10% of the total 1,026 applicants but results show that almost 80% of the applicants were hired.
Vergara said that the turnout of the job fair is considered successful.
Lady Joan Guillermo, assistant HR manager of SUPERL Philippines Inc, was thankful to PESO and the provincial capitol for the assistance given during the two day job fair.
The job fair was organized by PESO in partnership with SUPERL Philippines Inc. and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Meanwhile, a special recruitment activity will take place this coming January 31, at Arnedo Park, Capitol Grounds.
Peso in partnership with Philstar International Services Corporation will hire 519 carpenters, 180 cement mason, 44 electrician, 32 plumber, 9 HVAC and 9 equipment mechanic that will be employed in Guam.
Interested applicants must bring two copies of resume with 2×2 picture and complete and clear job description, photocopy of certificate of employment, photocopy of passport and Technical Education and Skill Development Authority (TESDA) or any other testing certificate.
