507-M Infra Projects meted out in 2014

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—Infrastructure projects under the administration of Governor Lilia Nanay Pineda arrived at P506,940,474.26 of the four districts of Pampanga from January to December 2014, it was disclosed.

According to the PEO report , the Provincial Engineering Office has completed the construction of school  buildings with the total amount of P66,785,501.21; Covered Courts/Multi Purpose Covered Areas/Stages/Pathways of Schools which totaled P34,885,421.82; Roads, Canals and Bridges P134,185,795.15; District Hospitals P62,130,845.52; Covered Courts/Multi-Purpose Covered Areas (INFRA) P86,588,621.73; and a sum of P122,364,288.82 among other buildings and structure projects set out by the provincial government.

Engr. Olimpio “Noli” Pangan, assistant provincial engineer said, these are the priority projects of the administration of Governor Lilia Pineda that had been approved and certified indispensable for every municipality or barangay.

Some of these major accomplishments were; P18-million establishment of Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University in Sto. Tomas Campus; P20 million for the construction of expansion building of the Philippine State College of Aeronautics in Floridablanca; construction of boys and girls comfort rooms for 26 public schools amounting to P9.7 million and the general renovation of the P43-million Regional Trial Court (RTC) building which was inaugurated in October, 2014 by Supreme Court Chief Justice  Lourdes P.A. Sereno.

 

Meanwhile, one of Governor Pineda’s aspiration is to provide quality and affordable healthcare for all her Cabalens. This has been realized through the improvement and renovation of all the district hospitals including modern facilities and medical equipments which are now completed.

The lady governor through public-private partnership initiated the realization of dialysis centers in selected district hospitals to provide reasonable priced treatment for dialysis patients.

Upholding Governor Pineda’s genuine commitment is the recently opened St. Agustine Dialysis center at the Escolastica Romero District Hospital, which is the third of its kind as the first-ever dialysis center opened in 2011 at the Diosdado P. Macapagal Memorial Hospital (DPMMH) in Guagua and Dr. Andres Soriano District Hospital (DASDH) in Magalang, in 2013.

Despite the keenness of the Pineda administration to converge all infrastructure projects, Pangan said the governor ordered them to examine conscientiously all projects to prevent misappropriate funds to ensure the fluidity of infrastructure development in the province.
