4 Kapampangans dominate ASEAN Skills Competition in Thailand

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Four Cabalens – out of 86 delegates – bought honor to the Philippines in the recently held 2018 ASEAN Skills Competition in Bangkok, Thailand last August 31 to September 2 this year.

Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, during a courtesy call, personally commended Marvin Madla who won the IT Network System Administration Medallion of Excellence and Anthony Cabigayan, winner of IT Software Solutions for Business Medallion of Excellence. Both are students of St. Nicolas College of Business and Technology.

Ramon “Bong” Bautista from the same school bagged the silver medal for Graphics Design Technology category and became the best among the Philippine delegates. The school was also represented by Jaykhelyn O. Nucum for Mechanical Engineering Cadd category.

Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) OIC-Provincial Director Jenica D. Dunglao praised the students for their effort in bringing pride to Pampanga. She also said that they also competed in various levels of competition since 2017.

“Before going international, they competed in the provincial, regional, zonal, and national level and reigned supreme,” she said.

She also hopes in strengthening the partnership between TESDA and the Provincial Government especially in supporting the students not only locally but also internationally.

Also joining them in their courtesy call is St. Nicolas College of Business and Technology Administrator Arnold Navarro.
