CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Village chiefs from three towns and this city lauded the provincial government for the provision of their aid to barangays amounting to P5,000 each village.
Governor Lilia G. Pineda gave aid to barangays to this city, Mexico, Arayat and Sta. Ana which they could use for their developmental projects in their respective villages last Monday in two separate venues – Bale Katimawan at Pampanga Police Office (PPO) and in Benigno Hall, Capitol Compound.
“Maliit man iyan sa halaga pero ito ay simbolo ito ng commitment ng Kapitolyo sa pagtulong sa mga barangay ng Pampanga (That maybe too little in amount but it is a symbol of commitment of the Capitol to the barangays of Pampanga)”, Rosve Henson, governor’s chief of staff said.
The village chiefs from this city, Sta. Ana, Mexico and Arayat had expressed gratitude to the governor for her relentless support for the development of their respective barangays.
Prior to this, the provincial government has allocated P2,695,000 to give annual aid to all barangays in the province.
As this developed, Provincial Police Director Senior Superintendent Edgardo Tinio recognized the role of barangay officials in helping the Philippine National Police (PNP) in building safer and more peaceful communities for the people of Pampanga.
Tinio also urged the officials to be more vigilant and requested for their constant support in maintaining peace and order in their respective areas.
“Serbisyong may malasakit ang handog sa atin ng ating mahal na governor, suklian naman natin ng serbisyong may pagkukusa,” Tinio told the village chiefs. (Angelique DC. Tuazon, PIO Pampanga)
