Porac-Gumain River and Arnedo Dike Posted on 14 years ago by MIS Governor Lilia G. Pineda inspects dikes, rivers and other water ways such as the Porac-Gumain River (first photo) and the Arnedo dike in Guemasan and Cupang, Arayat (second photo) in preparation for the onset of the rainy season. In said inspections, the Governor is with several board members and local officials of concerned towns with whom she discusses the intervention measures that need to be done to prevent flooding of communities. Other than desilting, sandbagging and fortification of dikes, the Governor emphasized the need to employ long-term solutions to the problem of flooding in the province so as to protect the lives and property of the people.
