2 out 505 villages in Pampanga recognized for exemplary performance

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Two out of the 505 barangays in the province were given recognition by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Provincial Government of Pampanga for exhibiting exemplary performance in good governance.

The villages of Malpitic in the City of San Fernando (for city category) and Balucuc in Apalit (under 1st and 3rd class category) were given “Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Provincial Awards” during the recent awarding ceremony held at the Capitol grounds here.

“Ito nakakataas ng morale sa aming kabarangay ito kasing mga award na ito ginagawa namin dito para makatulong din sa mga projects po especially  sa opisina ng lupon at pangangailangan ng lupon tagapamayapa,” said Board Member Gabby Mutuc, brgy captain, Brgy Balucuc, Apalit.

Each winner received P50,000 cash incentives from the provincial government and a certificate of commendation from the DILG.

“Maraming criteria, unang-una ‘yong effectiveness ng lupon. Of course, kung mayroon silang mga innovations na ipinatutupad sa pagganap po ng kanilang katarungang pambarangay. Of course, ‘yong organization. All in all po, accomplishments nila kung gaano ka-effective ‘yong kanilang pagmediate sa mga nagkakagulo o hindi nagkakaunawaan sa kanilang barangay,” said Myra Soriano, provincial director, DILG Pampanga.

Meanwhile, Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda hailed the dedication and hard work of the Lupong Tagapamayapa in addressing and settling disputes among their constituents to reduce formal complaints to higher courts.

He also encouraged the Lupong Tagapamayapa  to keep their mandate in maintaining peace and order within their communities.
