GUAGUA, Pampanga – A total of 1,735 students from Guagua National Colleges (GNC) received financial assistance as part of the Educational Financial Assistance Program (EFAP) of the provincial government on Friday, October 18.
The distribution was spearheaded by Pampanga Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, alongside Guagua Mayor Anthony Joseph “Tonton” Torres and other local officials.
The EFAP initiative is designed to provide essential financial support to students to help cover their educational expenses by giving P4,000 cash aid semiannually.
In his address to the scholars, Governor Pineda underscored the importance of dedication in their studies and long-term value of education.
“Mga anak, ang pakiusap ko lang sa inyo—kahit sakto lang ang marka, okay na ‘yon. Ang mahalaga, pasado. Sa oras na matapos kayo sa pag-aaral, sana unahin niyo na muna ang pagtulong sa inyong mga magulang,”Governor Pineda advised the students.
He further assured that the Pineda Administration will continue its commitment to supporting students and their educational pursuits.
Eivan Rheine Morales, one of the scholarship recipients, expressed her gratitude towards the program.
“Dakal pung salamat kang Gov. Delta, maragul ya pung saup ining educational financial assistance para kekaming estudyanti, para pu king aldo-aldo ming gastusin keng iskwela,” she said.
