Gov. Delta Distributes Cash Assistance to NHA Housing Beneficiaries in Lubao
LUBAO, Pampanga – Some 388 eligible housing beneficiaries of the National Housing Authority (NHA) in Brgy San Pablo 2 received financial assistance from the provincial government on Wednesday, October 4.
Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda led the distribution of checks along with 2nd District Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, Lubao Mayor Esmeralda Pineda, and NHA authorities held at the Lubao Municipal Gym. Each beneficiary received P5,000 assistance and food packs from the provincial government.
Relocated residents come from families in high-risk disaster areas and those affected by Manila Bay’s rehabilitation and other government infrastructure projects.
“So ito yung mga binibigyan natin ng assistance, yung mga na relocate, mga nawalan ng sariling lupa. Nag-usap kami ng NHA na bigyan naming ng assistance. At least for 10 to 11 months mawawalan po ng problema yung mga kababayan natin sa paghuhulog. Sa paglipat kasi nila ngayon medyo mabigat yung babayaran nilang 600 kaya nagbigay tayo ng assistance para may advance na tayo agad sa NHA,” the governor explained.
The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Lubao expressed gratitude for the assistance, citing that the program would ease the financial burden of their constituents when it comes to their monthly amortization. Under the 30-year housing plan, each beneficiary must pay P600 for the first five years of occupancy.
“Para maging pabor lahat sa kanila. For one year hindi muna sila magbabayad ng monthly. Nasa 600 ang per month. Si Gov nagbigay ng P5,000 so that is equivalent to almost 10 months. Sa 22 months wala silang iintindihan na magiging monthly nila. Dito sa mga kababayan ko po sa Lubao na beneficiaries sa San Pablo. Ito po alam ko ikakaginhawa po ng buhay nyo kasi alam ko po na mayroon na po kayong masasabi na sa inyo kahit years na yan bago niyo mabayaran,” Mayor Pineda.
Mayor Pineda added that the NHA is also collaborating with the provincial and local government to build nearby schools, covered courts, and other infrastructure projects to develop the community in the area.
To date, NHA has already built 1,000 housing units in the said location.
