100 Capitol scholars receive cash grants

City of San Fernando—Some 100 Capitol scholars received a total amount of P300,000 as educational cash benefits yesterday.

Third District Board Member Rosve Henson who led the distribution of educational grants held at Benigno Hall, Capitol grounds, here said the educational financial assistance was intended to augment the payment of tuition fees for the said student grantees.

Henson urged the scholars to study well and maintain their good grades to continuously avail the scholarship benefits from the provincial government.

The board member reminded the scholars to focus their full attention in their studies and complete their college education with flying colors to ensure a brighter future.

The Board Member also said the scholars finished their schoolings, they should help their parents and the people in their respective communities.

“Your college education will arm you with knowledge and skills which you can use wherever you go at all times you need,” he added.

Jamie Rose Vigilla, 2nd year business administration student from St. Nicholas Academy thanked the board member, Governor Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda, for their overwhelming support to thousands of scholars in the province.

Susan Luna, assistant provincial treasurer and Angie Gomez, assisted in the distribution.
