MOKA 2016 Committee reconstituted

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Governor Lilia Pineda on Tuesday released an executive order (EO) dated September 7, 2016 which provides the creation of the Committee for the Most Outstanding Kapampangan Awards (MOKA) 2016.

The Executive Order No. 20-2016 or the Reconstitution of the MOKA Committee states that under Section 5 of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Ordinance No. 56 provides for the creation of the MOKA Committee authorized by the governor.

The committee is composed of Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda as Chairman and Board Member Anthony Joseph S. Torres as Vice Chairman. Also included as members are Board members Cherry Manalo and Arthur Salalila; 2000 MOKAwardee in the field of Education Mrs. Ma. Lourdes M. Javier, Ed.D.; 2002 MOKAwardee in the field of Community Service Mrs. Theresa A. Laus; 2004 MOKAwardee in the field of Culture and the Arts Mr. Roberto P. Tantingco; and 2007 MOKAwardee in the field of Youth Service Ms. Ma. Lourdes Carmela Jade D. Pangilinan.

The EO also stated that the committee shall screen, review, and validate all nominations for all the MOKA Categories based on the mechanics and entry qualifications; serve as custodian of all documents, materials, and paraphernalia of the MOKA, scheduling of the meetings, deliberations, judging and awarding ceremony, and preparation of invitations and promotions of the MOKA search and supervision of the program and production of the awards night.

The Arts, Culture, and Tourism Office and the Provincial Information Office shall be the secretariat of the Committee to be assisted by the staff of the Chairman and the Vice Chairman.
