CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga– A total 287 took their oath in the first mass induction of Division Federated Parents-Teachers Association (FPTA) and Mother Parents-Teachers Association (MPTA) Wednesday evening at the Heroes Hall here.
City mayor Edwin “Edsa” Santiago inducted the new FPTA-MPTA officers and was assisted by vice mayor Jimmy T. Lazatin.
The 16 new officers of the city division FPTA are Franco G. Regala, president; Venerado Simbulan, vice president; Michelle Magdamit, secretary; Grace Sicat , treasurer; Ruel Salen, Auditor; Annabelle Gorospe, Jocelyn Lozano, Jesusa Camiling, Romulo Mendoza, Dr. Renely Tungol Marites Pabalan, Allen Paduhilao, Juanario Cabrera, Eriberto Tolentino and Rogie Mendiola, Board of Directors; and Myrna Manlastas, liaison officer.
The majority, a total 270, are MPTA officers from 45 public elementary and high schools in the city. All those who were sworn in received a certification.
Gov. Lilia Pineda who was guest speaker was represented by Provincial Capitol board member Rosve Henson.
Congressman Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr. of Pampanga’s 3rd District meanwhile assured the new PTA set of officers that he would support the association for any projects it would propose or implement in the division.
Lazatin also vowed to provide funding support for any projects that the new leaders would propose for the good of the schools and the students
In a brief message, the mayor commended the FPTA officers for holding the assembly and the first mass induction for both FPTA and MPTA officers in the city and in the province.
He also praised them for the teamwork and voluntarism they exemplified that led to the success of the gathering.
Henson likewise acknowledged that the fruitful event showed the strong support and unity of parents and teacher and the local officials in the city.
The occasion also attended by all 45 school heads in the city DepEd division.
