Delta gives food packs to Sasmuan’s 5 coastal brgys

SASMUAN – Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda on Monday afternoon distributed some 2,772 food packs to five coastal villages here. This was in lieu of the disaster brought about by the torrential monsoon rains in the country.

Vice Governor Delta gave food packs to Barangay Malusac with 915 family-recipients, Sebitanan with 595, Mabuanbuan with 374, Batang 1st with 111, and Batang 2nd with 777.

He was accompanied by Philippine Councilors’ League-Pampanga Chapter President and concurrent Ex-officio Board Member Fritzie David-Dizon, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) head Angie Blanco, and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) head Elizabeth Baybayan.

The said coastal villages here are among the affected villages in Pampanga, situated beside the Pampanga River near the Manila Bay.
The villagers thanked the vice governor for the help and attention given to them.

The Vice Governor said the given food packs will help the families in the said coastal villages to alleviate their hunger for at least a week.

“We want them to feel that no one is left behind,” he added.

Baybayan said they will not stop until all of the affected villages in the province receive assistance and attention to show that the provincial government is always ready to help.
