CITY OF SAN FERNANDO- The provincial government through the Provincial Public Employment and Service Office (PESO) was conferred Outstanding Regional Partner on Public Information by the Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) the other day held at Xenia Hotel, Clark Freeport Zone.Lourdes Laconsay, representative from BSP San Fernando Branch, cited the provincial government for the activities and programs that involved information dissemination to the youth that they were able to reach various schools and universities.
In a brief statement by PESO head Luningning Vergara, expressed her appreciation for the award that Pampanga PESO was chosen among the other offices in the country as the first recipient of such recognition.
“We have conducted labor market information (LMI), which targeted the youth, parents and businessmen. This is a project of the PESO office and through career coaching we have helped BSP in public information and it has also enhanced government services,” Vergara added.
Provincial winners for each category were also recognized.
National Economic and Development Authority-Region III (NEDA-Region 3) was also awarded as Outstanding Partner for Reports on Regional Economic Development of the Philippines whereas Central Luzon Television 36 (CLTV 36) bagged the Outstanding Regional Partner on Demonitization of the New Design Series.
Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, for her part, also expressed her gratitude to BSP for recognizing the efforts of the PESO and vowed that the provincial government will continue to support programs for public information in the region.
