Gov: Avert grave illness thru early detection, use PhilHealth

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda urged 7,343 indigent families in this city to utilize their health insurance and seek medical attention when needed.

This transpired during the separate distribution of Member’s Data Records at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center and at the Heroes’ Hall here yesterday.

“If you or any of your family members feel ill, have yourselves checked immediately and refrain from waiting for your condition to worsen,” Governor Pineda advised.

Said beneficiaries can avail of free medical consultations through their respective rural health units and are entitled to receive free take home medicines under the Tamang Serbisyo para sa Kalusugan ng Pamilya Program (TSeKaP) for indigent PhilHealth members.

Governor Pineda also reiterated that no single centavo shall be spent for their hospitalization all thanks to the No Balance Billing policy implemented in all government hospitals and other private health facilities such as lying-in clinics and dialysis centers.

PhilHealth case rates vary and can range from as little as P800 to as much as P600,000 depending on the patient’s illness.

“Your free PhilHealth membership is the solution for all your health woes,” Pineda stated.
