LUBAO – Mayor Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab lauded the Philippine Health Insurance (Philhealth) and Governor Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda for the renewal of the member data record (MDRs) of 10,073 indigents of this town.
The mayor expressed gratitude during the distribution of free MDRs held respectively at Sto. Tomas Covered Court, Lubao Gymnasium, Sta. Maria Covered Court, Calangain Covered Court, and Lourdes Covered Court last Monday.
The mayor also thanked the governor and the provincial board headed by Vice Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda for the P50 million budget allotted for the renovation of the Escolastica Romero District Hospital (ERDH).
During the activity, Gov. Pineda cited the national government for the renewal of the MDRs.
The governor also urged the beneficiaries to maximize the use of their free insurance to check and maintain their good health conditions and to avail the benefits entitled to them as members under the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Pineda also advised the Philhealth members to use their MDRs in any government hospital to avail the “no balance billing policy” wherein they will not pay for their hospitalization.
“Maximize your Philhealth membership. Our provincial and district hospitals are ready to serve you,” the governor said.
Present during the activity were senatorial aspirant Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno, former board member Fritzie David-Dizon, PSWDO Elizabeth Baybayan, and other local officials.
