Gov delivers SOPA

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—Governor Lilia G. Pineda delivered on Wednesday her comprehensive State of the Province Address before the members of the Sangguniang Bayan headed by Vice-governor Dennis Pineda, mayors, congressmen, barangay and other local officials of the four districts of the province.

In her three-hour speech pronounced at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, the governor covered all facets of her administration relating to administrative governance and highlighted accomplishments on health, education, agriculture, livelihood and employment,  tourism, social services, infrastructure, peace and order, solid waste management, quarry industry for the five years of her administration.

The lady governor also stated the current socio-economic status comprising the local income of the province.

Meanwhile, the provincial government has served a total of 71,840 Kapampangans via health programs and allotted a total amount of P1.2-B for health services and infrastructure including medical equipment and facilities.

Subsequently, a total of P112.8-million was allotted to the provincial government’s Educational Financial Assistance program benefitting 4,107 students.

A total of P16,497,861.74 social services was provided to beneficiaries of the different sectors of the province.

The province’s total infrastructure projects went up to P1,653,514,081.13 in the past five years of the governor’s term.

In agriculture, Pampanga is ranked 14 as rice producer and hailed as top in tilapia and shrimp industry.

About 197,427 jobs have been generated from 2010 to 2015 local and abroad.

The total quarry collection have reached P1.56-B from the time the governor assumed her position.

Pampanga is hailed as one of the most peaceful province in Central Luzon and declared insurgency free by the Philippine Army.

Real property collection have increased since I-TAX was launched and posted P224,363,139 from 2010 to the second quarter of the year.

Stakeholders, regional and provincial directors of different national agencies and business sectors, heads of Capitol and employees were also seen at the event.
