LUBAO, Pampanga — The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PHILHEALTH) under the Alaga Ka Program distributed anew yesterday members’ data Records (MDRs) to at least 9,922 Lubaoeños who had been identified by the National Household Targeting System -Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) conducted by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The distribution was held at Sto Tomas Covered Court with 2,821 beneficiaries; Lubao Gymnasium with 1,928; San Roque Arbol with 2,507 and Balantacan with 2,666.
Governor Lilia Nanay Pineda once again reiterated her call to maximize the use of the benefits entitled to PhilHealth members under theNHTS-PR of the DSWD.
Members under the NHTS-PR can avail the “no balance billing policy” wherein they will not pay their hospitalization and no deposit is required.
The governor also reminded the beneficiaries of the various services provided by the Department of Health, PhilHealth and the local government unit through the program TSeKap or Tamang Serbisyo para sa Kalusugan ng Pamilya.
Services under TSeKaP include regular blood pressure monitoring; counselling on breastfeeding, smoking cessation and lifestyle modification; screening services to detect breast and cervical cancers; and digital rectal exams.
Diagnostic tests, medicines for asthma, acute gastroenteritis with no mild dehydration; minimal and low risk pneumonia, and urinary tract infection are also provided and made available.
“If you have problems with your health, do not be afraid to go to the nearest district hospitals for your check up.”
Lubao Mayor Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab expressed her gratitude to Gov Pineda and PhilHealth for the program allotted to thousands of Lubaoeños.
Present during the event were 2nd district board member Joseph Anthony Torres, Department of Health Assistant Regional Director Loela Estember, DSWD Regional Director Gemma Gabuya, department heads of the Capitol and other local officials.
