Gov supports TESDA graduates

LUBAO, Pampanga — Governor Lilia Nanay Pineda promised support to the 2,379 graduates of Technical Education and Skills Development  Authority (TESDA) Pampanga during the mass graduation held at Lubao Gymnasium in this town, this Wednesday.

 

The governor said that the provincial capitol is more than willing to assist and give seminars and trainings to the graduating students.

 

“Huwag kayong mag-atubiling lumapit at magtanong sa provincial government dahil nandito ang capitol at PESO para suportahan. kayo Just pray. Hindi pwedeng hindi kayo makahanap ng trabaho.,” the governor said.

 

Furthermore, Governor Pineda praised Secretary Joel Villanueva, Director General of TESDA due to his efforts of uplifting the lives of many Filipinos through the programs and trainings offered by TESDA.

 

“Nagpapasalamat ako sa TESDA dahil sa mga skills training na ibinibigay nila sa ating mga kababayan na siguradong magagamit nila sa paghahanap ng trabaho,” the governor said.

 

Lubao Mayor Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab also thanked TESDA for giving free trainings to the Kapampangans especially to the unprivileged ones.

 

“Salamat dahil may TESDA na humuhubog sa ating mga kapwa Kapampangan na makapag-aral para magkaroon ng magandang kinabukasan,” Cayabyab said.

 

Meanwhile, Secretary Villanueva, in his speech, congratulated the gradutes and said that they are in demand both locally and globally with a very good pay averaging from P100,000-P150,000.

 

Carmelita Cayugan, 72 years old and one of the students who took Pastry Baking, shared her experience during the training.

 

She disclosed that aside from the free training she also received P600 allowance a starter tool kit.

 

“Kahit may edad na ko, nakasunod pa rin ako sa mga trainings na ginawa namin sa TESDA. ‘Yung mga natutunan ko ditto pwede ko pang magamit sa bahay at ituro sa mga anak at apo ko,” said Cayugan.

 

Some of the courses offered by TESDA are Front Office Services, Slaughtering Operation, Consumer Electronics Servicing, Food and Beverage Services, Housekeeping, Plumbing, Events Management Services, Shielded Metal Arc  Welding, Bartending, Cookery, Dressmaking, Pastry Making, Bread Making, Process Food by Salting, Curing and Smoking, Prepare and Cook Hot Meals, Perform Hair Perming/Straightening , Maintain and Repair Cellular Phone, Produce Organic Vegetable.

 

Also present in the event were 1st district representative Joseller “Yeng” Guiao, 3rd district representative Oscar “Oca” Rodriguez, representatives of 4th district representative Rimpy Bondoc and 2nd district represenative Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, board members, municipal mayors and other local officials.
