Philhealth’s Alaga Ka drive continues in Pampanga towns

***Guagua—The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth) and the Provincial Government of Pampanga reached out to thousands of Kampampangan Indigent residents to promote membership to avail their free healthcare services under the Alaga Ka Program.

It can be remembered that before the month of March ended, PhilHealth’s Alaga Ka Program was launched nationwide and one of the three major sites was Pampanga.

From then on, 18,195 PhilHealth membership cards out of the target 157,298 were already distributed in some municipalities and city in Pampanga namely Lubao with 7000 cardholders, Sta Ana with 3195, San Luis with 6000 and City of San Fernando with 2000 cardholders.

Just yesterday, another 11,836 residents were given free PhilHealth Membership.

Governor Lilia Pineda and Philhealth Pampanga Office chief Henry Almanon distributed members’ data records or MDRs to 2827 residents in Sta Rita, 6343 here and another 2666 in Sasmuan.

Once more, Governor Pineda urged the Kapampangan indigents in the said towns to take advantage of this offer and avail the services under PhilHealth’s coverage.

“Do you need medical assistance? Do you have severe conditions that needed surgery but don’t have enough money? Then go to the nearest government hospital, present your cards and Philhealth will cover most, if not all, of your expenses,” said Pineda.

Residents in these towns cheered as a sign of positive response to Philhealth’s Alaga Ka program and expression of thanks to Philhealth and the Provincial Government under the Pineda Administration.

Philhealth officers and the provincial government will roam around the province this whole month to further promote its Alaga Ka advocacy.
