CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) offers scholarship grants to some 25,000 students for their college enrollment.

CHED III Director Caridad Oli Abuan said they opened the scholarship program to help more students to continue their studies in college especially those former  Priority Development Assistance (PDAF) grantees from senators and congressmen.

Under the commission’s scholarship program, students will receive P15,000 to P30,000 a year depending on their average grade and family’s financial status.

Abuan clarified that slots are open only to students who hail from Central Luzon and will study to any private or public schools in the region.

Another important requirement, according to her is that their parents must have a combined gross income of not exceeding P300,000.

“Applicants are required to submit latest income tax return (ITR) of their parents or certificate of indigence to make sure that only underprivileged youth will benefit from the grants,”said Abuan.

Deadline for the submission of application will be on April 30,2014 to be submitted at CHED regional office at Diosdado Macapagal Government, Brgy. Maimpis of this city.
