Gov’t agencies cite Gov. Pineda for livelihood, education programs

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – National government agencies in the province such as Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Department of Education (DepEd) lauded the accomplishments of Governor Lilia G. Pineda on the provision of livelihood funds for the cooperatives and skilled individuals and school buildings for public school students yesterday during the flag raising ceremony at the Capitol Grounds Monday.
According to Mildred Esguerra of the CDA-III, Pampanga is the most innovative province when it comes to cooperative development and it’s all due to the effective leadership of Mamerto Gatus and the unwavering support of the governor.
Esguerra said the provincial government through the Provincial Cooperative and Entrepreneurial Development Office (PCEDO) has successfully transformed the cooperatives from assistance and loan-reliant groups to livelihood and employment-generating organizations that are self-sufficient.
With this, the PCEDO was recently recognized as the Best Provincial Cooperative Development Office in Central Luzon during the 11th Cooperative Summit.

Nelly Punzalan of DOLE-TSSD also lauded Pineda and the Public Employment Service Office for their efforts in livelihood and employment provision for the Kapampangans.
