CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The provincial Public Employment Services Office (PESO) has been declared national winner in the Best PESO Award-1^st-class provincial category recently, proof of its commitment to provide employment opportunities to thousands of Kapampangans.

PESO head Luningning Vergara, who bagged the Best PESO manager award for the same category, said Pampanga’s edge over other provinces is the “empowerment” of each municipal PESO.

Vergara explained that the provincial PESO has strengthened its linkages with each municipal PESO, involving them in the initiation of programs and services in a bid to assist Kapampangans in seeking employment.

“The scope of our program is provincewide,” according to Vergara. “In fact, ngayon pa lang ginagawa ng other provinces ang ganyang program.”
