Fil-Chinese Group Donates 4 New Classrooms in Pampanga; More Classrooms To Be Inaugurated

Arayat, Pampanga- The Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FCCCII) led by Eddie Chua and other Fil-Chinese officers led the inauguration of four public school buildings in four towns in Pampanga under their through their “Barrio Schools Program” the other day.

Board Members Monina “Monz” Laus (3rd district) and Ricardo Yabut (4th District) said these new classrooms will serve as the strong foundation of the provincial government in their commitment to public-private partnership.

Chua, president of San Fernando Filipino-Chinese of Commerce disclosed that in the whole province of Pampanga, they have initiated the construction of more than 200 classroom buildings benefitting thousands of school children.

“These include the four-newly inaugurated school buildings in Guemasan Elementary School (Arayat), Cabalantian National High School (Bacolor), Sta. Maria Elementary School (Minalin) and Batasan Elementary School (Macabebe),” Chua said.

Chua  said that Fil-Chinese believe that they may achieve more success in life particularly in their business if they would share what they have to people and communities in need.

Laus has expressed the heartfelt gratitude of the provincial government for the support of the Fil-Chi in providing quality education for the Kapampangans, given the fact that the government cannot sustain all the needs of public schools.

Board Member Yabut said maintaining good relationship with private sector is pivotal in public service as it would send a strong message of good partnership in development like what the  Filipino-Chinese  did.

The head teachers of the four elementary schools had expressed their thanks to the Fil-Chi as they noted that this effort may respond to the problem of the Department of Education (DepEd) in the lack of classrooms.

Bernadette Lumbang, head teacher of Guemasan Elementary School said that they are so blessed with the donation from the FCCCII.

It can be noted that more classrooms will be inaugurated in Pampanga this year.
