Guv, Boking Support ‘Congressman’ Yeng Guiao

MABALACAT —  Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Mayor Marino”Boking” Morales announced Sunday that they fully  support  Vice Governor Joseller “Yeng” Guiao  and Board Member Krizzanel “Win” Garbo’s worthwhile activities in this town.

This came as Guiao and Board Member Krizannel Garbo, president of the Pampanga Federation of Sangguniang Kabataan jointly held a sports tournament dubbed, as 1st ‘Congressman’ Joseller “Yeng” Guiao and Board Member Krizannel “Win” Garbo’s Open  Inter-Barangay Basketball Cup, started Sunday.

“Aku buo ing suporta ku king 1st Cong. Yeng Guiao and Win Garbo’s basketball cup….. If you need me, anytime, anywhere, just call my name and I will be there,” Boking said.

Governor Pineda who has also graced the inter-barangay basketball cup said before hundreds of barangay officials, barangay tanods and basketball players and other residents in Madapdap Resettlement , Barangay Dapdap here that her administration is fully supporting the vice governor in his activities in the 1st district.

Guiao, who has openly expressed interest in joining the congressional race in 2013 claimed that this will be the first time that a basketball tournament will be held free of everything that it needed.

“Masuwerte tamu pu uling manibat king adwang set a uniporme, king premyo at gagamitan a bola libre at nanu pang pamangailangan king liga and personally, magdonate ku pung bola karing 27 barangay king Mabalacat,” Guiao said.

He added, the basketball cup is divided into two division – small and big barangay.

“Ing kekatang tournament, atin yang adwang division – malati ampong maragul a barangay. Ing premyu, balang division magkaulaga yang P200,000. Forty thousand pesos (P40,000) – first prize, P30,000 second prize, P20,000 – 3rd prize, P10,000 – 4th prize baling division, makikabuuan a alagang P200,000,” she said.

With this, Guiao said all players from small and big barangays will be given a chance to play and win the basketball cup.

Guiao and Morales assured the youth here, that there will be bigger tournaments next year if this basketball league will be finished peacefully and orderly. (Joel Mapiles)
