Pampanga Governor Lilia G. Pineda today enjoins her constituents to pray and seek Divine’s intervention for the immediate recovery and well-being of former President and now Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
Arroyo has been confined at the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig for several days now and earlier intended, but failed, to seek medical treatment abroad. She has been charged for electoral sabotage by the Department of Justice and Commission on Elections joint committee last Friday.
The governor who is a known close ally of the former President said that she and fellow officials of the provincial government are hopeful that Arroyo will be accorded the due process of law.
The former President was not allowed by the DOJ to seek medical treatment abroad early last week in spite of the temporary restraining order (TRO) issued by the Supreme Court stopping the department from implementing its travel ban against Arroyo. (Pampanga PIO)
