CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – In a bid to extend and further improve the healthcare services intended for the needy Cabalens, the provincial government launched “Alagang Nanay: Health Care Delta.”

The launching was held during the “Empowering Women Through Involvement in Disaster Management: Orientation on Gender Meeting” on Thursday at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center here.

The new and improved healthcare program of Governor Delta called “Alagang Nanay: Health Care Delta” was introduced to some 2,107 Nanay Community Workers (NCWs). The new healthcare program aims to provide a centralized medical service delivery network to all needy Kapampangans.

According to Governor Delta, the project is a tribute to the motherly love and care extended by Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda to the Kapampangans during her term as the governor of the province.

Under the program, all patients who wish to avail it need to consult the help of their barangay officials and other authorized officials like members from Nars ng Nayon, Municipal Health Office (MHO), and NCWs, or directly go to the Governor’s Office.

The new healthcare system is not only confined at the rural and district hospitals.

Furthermore, the provincial government would also be responsible in endorsing and referring patients even in private hospitals where it has an existing Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).

To date, there are at least five private hospitals and four dialysis centers which already entered into agreement with the provincial government.

The five private hospitals are as follows: Apalit Doctor’s Hospital Inc.; Rosario Memorial Hospital; Dr. Amado L. Garcia Medical Center Inc.; Floridablanca Doctor’s Hospital Inc.; and Pampanga Medical Specialist Hospital.

Meanwhile, the four dialysis centers are as follows: Hope Dialysis Center; Toledano Medical Clinic and Dialysis Center; St. Theresa Dialysis Center, Inc.; and St. Agustine Dialysis Center.

“These hospitals and dialysis centers shall extend complex medical treatment including surgical procedures, diagnostic and laboratory services to all beneficiaries of the Alagang Nanay: Health Care Delta,” an official said.
