21 lasses vie for Mutya ning Kapampangan crown

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Twenty-one Kapampangan ladies from different municipalities and cities in the province are vying for the coveted Mutya ning Kapampangan 2019 crown.

After training for weeks, the ladies showcased their beauty, wit, and talent during the preliminary competition held at the SM City Pampanga Event Center on Thursday, November 28.

The candidates who spiced up the stage and proudly represented their respective hometowns are Mary Ann Felker, Angeles City; Love Jezchem Colis, Apalit; Eryl Miranda, Arayat; Hannah Mae Santos, Bacolor; Esperanza Marie dela Cruz, Candaba; Czarina Joy Guiao, Floridablanca; Arian Elline Camaya, Guagua; Daryl Dane, Lubao; Kyle Celine Dorado, Mabalacat City; Bea Angela Hipolito, Magalang; Jacqueline Guinto, Masantol; Rizelle Anne Estrada, Mexico; Justine Rose David, Minalin; Maria Alyssa Sarmiento, Porac; Rica Gabriene David, City of San Fernando; Rose Ann Pangilinan, San Luis; Nina Rizza Balboa, San Simon; Julia Mae Mendoza, Sasmuan; Denice Joy Frias, Sta. Ana; Jayme, Sta. Rita; and Joanna David, Sto. Tomas.

The distinguished panel of judges were Ariel Mallari, a beauty pageant critic and dance guru, Vergel De Guzman, a CLTV36 talent search winner, and Andy Pangan, Central Luzon’s RnB singer.

The top five ladies chosen for the best in talent award were candidates from San Luis, Angeles City, Candaba, Sto. Tomas, and San Fernando City.

After showcasing their talent, a series of questions were raised by the members of the Pampanga local media to determine this year’s deserving recipient of the Darling of the Press award.

The event was sponsored by the SM City Pampanga, SM City Supermalls, Pradera Verde, BGC, Smart Communications Inc., and Porac Quarry Associations.

District board members Benjamin Jocson, Nelson Calara, Cherry Manalo, Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, Olga Frances Dizon, Ferdinand Labung, Jun Canlas, Venancio Macapagal, and Renato Mutuc, Provincial Legal Officer Gerome Tubig and other department heads graced the pre-pageant night.

The grand coronation night is set to take place on December 10 at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center (BZGCC), in this town.

The Mutya ning Kampangangan is an annual celebration of Kapampangan beauties wherein winners will be representing the province in various prestigious national pageants. This event is one of the highlights of the Pampanga Day Celebration aside from the annual conferment of the Most Outstanding Kapampangan Awards (MOKA).
