CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda advised college students to be open with the Provincial Government in addressing their grievances.
“Concentrate muna kayo sa pag-aaral ha? Ano bang hindi binibigay ng Gobyerno sa atin, especially Education. Dati wala naman tayong libre sa tertiary natin, ngayon meron na,” he said.
He bared this during his dialogue with Mabalacat City College (MCC) personnel headed by their President, Carmelita Sotto.
Gov. Pineda ordered them to create a Master Development Plan for the construction of additional buildings in its satellite campus in Dapdap.
The Governor was also saddened by the news of the two Cum Laude graduates from University of the Philippines (UP), who are said to be activists who stayed in the mountains.
“May future pa sana sila, makakatulong pa sa pamilya, pero pinilit pumunta ng bundok, nag-armas,” he furthered.
According to the Governor, if there are any suggestions, he is willing to listen to their opinions.
It can be recalled that during the recent Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) meeting, members have unanimously agreed to declare the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) as persona non-grata as a move to not tolerate any rebel acts.
Prior to this, issues were also raised during the Meeting of the Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC).
ELCAC was established through President Rodrigo Duterte’s Executive Order (EO) No. 70, which aims to end the long-time act of cruelty and deception of the communist terrorists against the Filipino people using the “whole-of-nation” approach. #
