CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Governor Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda presented her P16.16 billion accomplishment as a three-term governor during the Barangay Officials’ Summit 2018 at Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center (BZGCC) here on Thursday, August 9.
Pineda shared to the 4,404 attendees, composed of newly elected barangay captains and kagawads, where the budget in every department was spent.
According to Pineda, since 2010 up to the present, her administration has allotted P16.16 billion for the benefit of Kapampangans, including medical and financial assistance, scholarship grants, aid to indigenous peoples, and schools and hospitals rehabilitation.
Apart from health, education and infrastructure services, the lady governor also extended help for employment and livelihood, social, agriculture, fishery and livestock services.
Pineda also prioritized disaster and solid waste management and peace and order.
Pineda asked the attendees to continue prioritizing their constituents’ needs.
“May you not forget what the provincial government has started,” she added, even if her term will end in 2019.
The annual summit was initiated by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) headed by Angie Blanco, to inform the newly elected barangay officials about the current and upcoming programs in disaster management and peace and order in the community.
Also present were Senator JV Ejercito, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Undersecretary Martin Dino, Vice Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda, Provincial Board Members, City/Municipal Mayors, DILG Provincial Director Myrvi Fabia, Pampanga Provincial Director Senior Superintendent Nicolas Salvador, Regional Director Office of Civil Defense Marlou Salazar, Provincial Department of Health (DOH) Development Management Office V Amelito Nicolas, Provincial Capitol Department Heads headed by Andres Pangilinan Jr., Pampanga Chiefs of Police, Provincial/City/Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officers and City/Municipal Local Government Operations Officers. –Leah Isidro De Fiesta
