CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda vowed full support to more than 5,000 Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials in the implementation of the continuing provincial development program.
Governor Pineda also asked the SK officials to help in the realization of the Megalopolis plan for the future generation and for the development of the province which would eventually benefit the youth.
“You are a big help for the province and its future development,” so said Govenor Pineda.

Pineda underlined also the significance of youth development in preparing SK officers in meeting challenges in the community as well as promoting peace and order in the society.
“Youth development can be achieved through various activities and skills training,” the governor said.
The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Provincial Director Jenica Dunglao likewise affirmed that the provincial government sees the need for various skills training for the youth that will position them to successfully engage in their chosen career and to help them realize their goals in life.
Meanwhile, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Aaron N. Aquino, guest of honor, reiterated his call to the young officials in combating illegal drugs in their respective areas.
“Don’t use your position (as public officials) to promote illegal drugs, instead be mindful of your community so you can report those who are in your watch list,” Aquino said.
Similarly, Maguindanao Zajid G. Mangudadatu graced the event to formally welcome SK officials in the field of public service.
During the summit, Pineda also took the opportunity to give a partial recount on the current status of Pampanga.
According to the lady governor, the provincial government has acquired a total of P16 Billion in terms of local income since the start of her administration in 2010 up to present.
Also present in the summit were PDEA Regional Director Gil T. Pabilona together with PhilHealth Region 3 Vice- President Walter Bacareza, DILG Provincial Director Myrvi A. Fabia, People’s Disaster Risk Reduction Network Inc. (PDRRNI), provincial board members, city and municipal mayors, chiefs of police and department heads of the provincial government.
