446th ‘Aldo Ning Kapampangan’ kicks off

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The ‘446th Aldo Ning Kapampangan’ kicked-off yesterday with the theme “Masayang Pamilya King Maasensung Probinsya.”
The ‘Aldo Ning Kapampangan’ commemorates the founding of Pampanga as a province.

The celebration was started with a thanksgiving mass at 6:00 in the morning officiated by Archbishop Paciano B. Aniceto, followed by a flag-raising ceremony at the Arnedo Park Capitol Grounds, and at 7:00 am, distribution of Capitol and DOLE grants to 4,943, presentation of the candidates for Mutya Ning Kapampangan and culminated with the signing of memorandum of agreement on Anti-Illegal Recruitment and Human Trafficking in Persons (AIR-TIP).

At 5:30 pm, the lighting of the Capitol Christmas decors and fireworks display capped the first day of the week-long celebration.

On Thursday, December 7, it will be the most anticipated “Kapampangan Food Festival”, at 1:00 pm at Fontana Hot Spring Leisure Parks in which President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is expected to grace the event.
The purpose of the event is to make the province of Pampanga to be made known as one of the Cuisine Capital of the World.

On Friday, December 8, there will be a Health Summit and Medical Mission spearheaded by the Provincial Health Office together with the chiefs of hospitals, 7:00 am at Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center (BZGCC).

On Saturday, December 9, there will be a motorcade that will start from Laus Group Event Center to Pradera Verde in Lubao where the “Pampanga Motor Show and Shine”will take place including the mini concert in the evening.

Sunday, December 10 will be the Mutya Ning Kapampangan Coronation Night to be held at the BZGCC.

On December 11, Monday, the Most Outstanding Kapampangan Awards (MOKA) will be given out at the Laus Group event center, 5:00 pm.

This year’s celebration is unique with event centering on Kapampangan traditions, food, and culture.

The Kapampangans enjoined to participate in the various activities to honor the essence of being a true Kapampangan.
